Tessa did some nice work yesterday. She's working calmer as long as I stay consistent with what I expect. We're breaking things up in pieces more and that continues to be a big help.
Tonight, the cattle where eating grain. The first photo shows the cattle butts and sheep standing in the background. The second photo shows why.
She holds them back with a look....and with a "walk up" she'd move them back into the pasture.
My wife and I are happy to be a part of the family farm. I've always enjoyed the loyalty and companionship from good dogs and have taken up the training of herding dogs the past few years. I learn so much from the Australian Shepherds I've been with, and hope they enjoy their time with us as much as we love them.
